Therapeutic Coaching
Being dual-qualified in both coaching and counselling, I am able to combine the action-orientated energy of coaching with the depth of understanding provided by therapy, enabling clients to make sustainable changes in their lives. My work is under-pinned by the philosophy of TA. (Transactional Analysis →)
I am a member of, and adhere to the values and ethics of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. (BACP)
I work indoors in Burford, outdoors in the Cotswold countryside, as well as online.
Coaching is developmental work, usually focused on the here and now and where the client wants to get to in the future. It doesn’t usually explore the origin of issues that may cause stumbling blocks, but rather works to equip the client with speedy, increased effectiveness in their personal and professional life.
Whether you are seeking leadership or personal coaching, I would be delighted to work with you.
I work in equipping people to deal with issues such as:
Building better relationships
How to lead effectively
Getting a sustainable work/ life balance
Handling stress and burnout
Managing time better
Planning for the future
Building self esteem and assertiveness
Tackling anxiety and depression
Creating new habits and stopping unhelpful ones
People pleasing
Imposter syndrome
Feeling stuck
Goal setting
Handling anger
Loss and bereavement
Handling change and life transitions
Trauma
Spirituality and faith related issues
Being a parent can be both exhilarating and exhausting. Many parents I speak to are not always convinced they are using their energy effectively. They know that boundaries are important for children but sometimes, when they seek to apply them, this leads to relationship fall-out and they succumb to pester power! Constant arguments about screen time, bedtime, homework, friendships etc are draining and it can sometimes feel like all we do is nag.
If you live or work with young people and have a desire to see them flourish, why not enquire about the next Grow and Thrive course? Come and learn about child development models so that you can discern what is normal developmental behaviour and what may give cause for concern. Take advantage of some useful tools which will improve your communication skills and restore your confidence in setting healthy boundaries. There will be interactive, experiential exercises with real life scenarios to discuss.
“Liz’s passion for supporting young people is inspiring and contagious. She is respectful and accepting and I felt safe and secure in the group.”
“Liz is a wonderful teacher and communicator. She thoughtfully interspersed ideas and tools for situations we were challenged by, alongside her teaching. This was of huge benefit to us all. I cannot recommend her courses highly enough.”
Vanessa, parent.

"A positive, empowering course which gave me a fascinating insight into behaviour patterns in adults and children and "the games people play"! The course helped me to recognise my own communication habits and feel more confident in resolving difficult situations. A great tool for Leaders and Aspiring heads, who want to de-stress by understanding how to make more effective decisions.”
Marian Haimes, Headteacher, Thomas Johnson Lower School, Lidlington.
"Liz is a knowledgeable and creative trainer. I’ve appreciated her attention to detail –particularly the interactive training materials that gets everyone on their feet and learning in different ways. As a result, my team left our session with increased knowledge, practical tools and individual application.
